Burton’s Biscuits supporting Hertfordshire Independent Living Service

Burton’s Biscuits are delighted to announce that our head office Charity for 2020 is Hertfordshire Independent Living Service. They are a thriving not-for-profit social enterprise that deliver a range of services to older and vulnerable people across the county to help them stay happy, healthy, and independent in their homes for as long as possible.

Two of the biggest wellbeing challenges facing older people today are malnutrition and loneliness. HILS use biscuits as a tool to prevent unintentional weight loss and to bring people together.

We have already given them some biscuits for their Xmas Dinner, which they put on for the elderly in our local area and we are really looking forward to supporting HILS with more biscuits and volunteering events over the coming year.
