Within our Burton’s group, we have 6 bakery sites across the UK, located in Blackpool, Livingston, Edinburgh, Dorset, Isle of Arran and Llantarnam, with our head office in St Albans. In total we employ circa 2,100 people around across our locations.

What does your typical day look like?
You will provide support for the site bakery manager and off site CI manager in developing and implementing CI initiatives that deliver sustainable financial benefits .
Other key actions will be but not limited to:
- working with stakeholders across the site to identify and deliver cost based reductions
- Deliver improvement projects to support the CI and manufacturing teams
- Demonstrate H&S /SHE principals and cultural behaviours to support site culture
- Managing the complaint management system, highlighting key drivers, and drive reduction initiatives
- To manage the site internal audit programme
What are the key ingredients needed for the role?
You will need previous experience working within Continuous Improvement.
You will need to be confident with Lean Sigma and have a clear understanding and application of continous improvement tools.
While a background in food would be an advantage, experience in other FMCG can also be taken into consideration.
