Location: Blackpool, Lancashire

Salary: £Competitive Salary

Contract: Full Time, Fixed term contract until the end of October 2022 (Maternity Cover)

Hours: Monday - Friday (rota basis covering ½ a day on a Saturday - on average once every six weeks, for Saturday cover you are able to work from home, with time back in lieu, which is normally an early finish on another day)

Why work as part of our Supply Chain Customer Services team?

You will be part of a team that forms a key link between our manufactured goods and the end customer, you’ll help ensure Burton’s Biscuits provide a great experience for our customers as well as working with key internal teams to ensure accurate data and updates about availability & supply of stock.

 

What does your typical day look like?

On a day to day basis you will provide support services to short term demand forecasting, warehousing and distribution functions which are supported centrally within the Customer Service Team.

 

By utilising creativity, resourcefulness and ingenuity to understand and enhance supply chain processes by generating key reports, extracting and assembling data, identifying problems, testing hypothesis, calculating KPIs, creating detailed analysis, building business cases and developing tools to turn data into insights for both business and specific customer account use.

 

By doing this you will help to shape and drive forward a positive supply chain service helping Burton’s Biscuits achieve its own targets and also helping ensure we meet the needs of our customers.

 

What are the key ingredients needed for the role?

This is a great role for someone who is a great team player, works well with others to complete team tasks. Has great communication skills, as now more than ever it is important that we communicate across the business and with our customers quickly (this might just be asking questions if you are ever unsure).

 

You will need to able to work with data as this is quite an analytical role, competent with Excel i.e. (Pivot Tables. Formulas etc.), and we can teach you so much more, so don’t worry if you don’t class yourself as an Excel expert.

 

A logical approach to solutions and improvements will the key, the supply chain journey at Burton’s Biscuits is fast, so working smarter and not harder is a key part.
