Location: 50/50 split between working from home and being based in our St Albans, Head Office. We are only a 5-minute walk from St Albans City Station.


IR35 assessment: This role falls inside IR35


Salary / Rate: pro rata annual salary / or can be offered as a day rate


Contract: 3-6 month fixed term contract


Why work as part of our Commercial Finance Team as an interim?

In this Finance Manager role, you will be pivotal in providing accurate, timely financial information and expert financial advice to senior stakeholders.


Even as an interim you’ll with a wide range of internal stakeholders both within and outside of Finance on financial matters including Board members. 


The role will partner both the Commercial and Procurement business functions to ensure sound financial decisions are made with the aim of both protecting and generating value to the business. 


A few examples of the type of task you would need to complete are:

· Manage the month end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial results each month with and gain an understanding of the key drivers of financial performance.

· Business partnering the commercial teams (including Board stakeholders)

· Forecasting product costings for branded and non-branded products.

· To continually develop financial systems and processes, improving the quality, timeliness and accuracy of financial controls and processes.

What are the key ingredients needed for the role?

You need to be a qualified accountant with post qualified experience (ACA / CIMA / ACCA qualified). If you have strong commercial finance knowledge, you a great communicator with the ability to influence that the right decisions and actions are taken, then this could be the right interim role for you.


Final part of the mix.

If you strong experience within a commercial finance role, this may have come from time spent with a big 4 consultancy practice, an FMCG organisation (which doesn’t have to be food), or even from a blue chip company. This should give you a strong base and allow you to add value to one of the UK’s leading food manufacturing companies.
