Rate: National Minimum Wage

Contract: 6-month fixed term contract – 25 hours a week


What does your typical day look like?

Burtons Biscuits are now part of the Kickstart Scheme and are looking for Development Food Production Operatives who will work with our processing, packing, operations and warehousing teams to help produce some of the UK’s favourite biscuits. 


Along with working in our Bakeries, Development Food Production Operatives will be required to undertake key food safety and employability training.


This role is offered as part of the Government’s Kickstart Programme and as such is offered on a 6-month fixed-term contract, although you may be offered the opportunity to apply for a Packing / Process Operative role if you perform to a good standard and a vacancy becomes available. 


What are the Key Ingredients?

This role is extremely fast paced and requires a certain level of fitness as it does have a large element of physical work in order to complete the tasks to a high standard.
Attention to detail is key as we pride ourselves in the quality of our products.


Final Part of the Mix

Applicants must be 18-24 years of age and must be registered with KickStart or be registered at the point of job offer.
