What does your typical day look like?
Reporting to the Site Lead & Materials Planner this role is key in ensuring that there are always materials available to meet production plans to achieve the Finished Goods Service Level is paramount. You will also simultaneously balancing the needs of our warehousing in not over stocking, leading to out of date material, obsolescence and excess storage costs.
Sitting within the Materials Planning function this role provides an overview of all Business supply, demand and NPD and there will be considerable and frequent interaction with suppliers, project managers, marketing, site operations and more.
What are the key ingredients needed for the role?
This is a great role for someone starting out their career in planning and scheduling, you maybe be a recent graduate with a relevant degree i.e. Supply Chain. Or have gained relevant work experience where planning, problem solving and pro-activeness is a key part of your role You will be numerate and an analytical thinker and have the ability to build strong relationships internally and externally.
Ideally the successful candidate will have knowledge of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) also experience of warehouse management techniques would be desirable.
Final part of the mix.
Strong communication skills and the ability to interpret and format data, strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel and Word are essential.
