This role encompasses generalpacking duties in and around packing units and ancillary equipment. In addition, the successful candidate will be required to step up into a Team Leader position in order to cover team leader absence/change of shift patterns. Stepping up into this position will require ensuring that the packing units run safely, hygienically and efficiently with the minimum of downtime.
To sort and feed product as per Company and Customer specifications
To obtain materials in order to carry out duties
To place product into cases and palletise as per company and customer specifications
To identify substandard product and inform necessary personnel
Carry out packing activities to maximum efficiency
To record data on product tickets and attach copy to each finished pallets
To move pallets from packing stations to despatch area
Carry out other appropriate Job activity as directed by immediate manager
To ensure specified company health, safety and hygiene standards are maintained
Must comply with rules and procedures in order to maintain the legality, safety and quality of the product manufactured.
No formal qualifications
Ideally should have some manufacturing experience within a similar role
