Job Title: Quality Technician / QA Technician
Location: Dorset Village Bakery (Thomas Fudges), Stalbridge

Hours: 40 hours (Monday – Friday) on a rolling 3-week rota; Week 1 5:30am – 2.00pm (2wks), Week 2 13:30pm - 10.00pm (2wks), Week 3 9:30pm – 6:00am (2wks)

In order to ensure we can continue to make fantastic biscuits, and to help us on this amazing journey, we are proud to announce that in 2019 we completed the acquisition of a premium sweet and savoury biscuit manufacturer Thomas Fudge’s, also in 2019 we acquired Scottish bakers Paterson Arran. This will increase our baking capabilities across a number of new sweet and savoury categories.

Everyone across Burton's Biscuits, takes a sense of pride in their baking, which means you’ll get to work with some fantastic people. In this role you will be responsible for maintaining the quality management system to ensure that all relevant standards (e.g. BRC, HACCP, and Customer Code of Practice) are achieved. Implement food safety and quality strategies to increase bakery efficiency and meet performance criteria.
What does your typical day look like?
What are the key ingredients needed for the role?
All you need is previous experience in a technical or QA role, Level 2 Food safety for Manufacturing Certificate and a willingness to learn and work to best practices.
Final part of the mix.
You will need to be able to work on your own initiative, have strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail and be flexible & adaptable in your approach. Resilient with the ability to challenge if the right process isn’t been followed.
This role will be based out of our bakery in Stalbridge, Dorset.
