Within our Burton’s group, we have 6 bakery sites across the UK, located in Blackpool, Livingston, Edinburgh, Dorset, Isle of Arran and Llantarnam, with our head office in St Albans. In total we employ circa 2,100 people around across our locations.

What does your typical day look like?
You will play a key role in the execution of our people strategy at our LLantarnam bakery. This will involve translating the business HR strategy and overlaying with key bakery objectives.
Other key actions will be but not limited to:
- Formulate the bakery HR strategy (aligned to bakery and Group HR strategy), in line with budgets
- Partnering with Centre's of excellence - HRSS, talent, L&D & ER to maximise both the group HR strategy and the bakery performance and cultural impact
- Coach and develop the leadership team
- Oversee all HR needs for any audit process
- Analyse and discuss root cause analysis of all HR KPI data
- coordinate the annual appraisal process
- develop positive employee relations
What are the key ingredients needed for the role?
You will need previous experience working within a medium/large FMCG environment, union partnering and strong change management experience. Must be CIPD qualified
You will also need experience of having worked on transformation projects within manufacturing.
You will also be confident in managing a performance culture
You will need a sound knowledge of employment law and best practice, disciplinary and grievance handling.
This role is based on site in LLantarnum
