What is the role about?  

 


The Head of Commercial Operations will be working alongside the Sales, Supply Chain, Operations, Commercial Finance, Product Development and Category teams to create and deliver customer and product strategies to grow annual revenue and profit.

 

You will be accountable for working cross functionally to align the commercial agenda with the operational agenda, ensuring that we drive the best return for our capacity, support branded growth and drive simplicity across the portfolio.

 

You will be accountable for optimizing the existing Retailer Brand (RB) product portfolio, balancing new product opportunities, tenders, and innovation to maximize profitability, ensuring that there is a robust supply plan.

 

You will create a clear and consistent business approach, ensuring right first-time delivery of all workstreams, demonstrating strong commercial and leadership skills. 

 

Key responsibilities include but not limited to:


  • Creating a 5-year product strategy by archetype, aligned to the category drivers, customer strategies, competitor capability and FBC UK strategies, including requirements and justification for capital investment.
  • Manage FBC UK RB customer strategy and product portfolio, maximizing for profit, aligned to existing capacity and capabilities.
  • Develop 360° RB product plans for key customer and channels across More from Core, Margin Up and Launch to Win pillars including delivery of quality, cost out, decomplexify and sustainability targets.
  • Proactively manage tender programme, developing a clear framework to ensure Commercial and Supply Chain alignment.
  • Be a key advisor to the Supply Chain team in developing an understanding of longer-term demand by archetype and a key advisor the Commercial team in understanding the opportunities and limitations of our manufacturing footprint.


 

What are the key ingredients needed for the role? 

 

You will have evidence of successful leadership of cross functional teams along with the development and delivery of business plans and managed a P&L.

 High level commercial acumen and understanding of customer and operational P&Ls is something that you are comfortable with along with strong leadership skills.
