Within our Burton’s group, we have 6 bakery sites across the UK, located in Blackpool, Livingston, Edinburgh, Dorset, Isle of Arran and Llantarnam, with our head office in St Albans. In total we employ circa 2,100 people around across our locations.

What does your typical day look like?
You will be responsible for the delivery of the site production plan, whilst ensuring our people are kept safe, well and competent. To develop a continuous improvement culture that results in high performance . Supporting and driving improvement plans, delivering site budgets and keeping our customers happy .
Other key actions will be but not limited to:
- adhere to and deliver the site labour standard, managing overtime figures in line with budget
- ensure our people are trained to run the lines efficiently and to legal requirements
- manage absence and resolve any time and attendance or payroll queries
- carry out return to works & welfare meetings
- ensure plant is audit ready
What are the key ingredients needed for the role?
You will need previous experience of managing a production area/ multiple lines. Proven results of improving line capability . Development and performance management .
You will need to be confident with a continuous improvement environment preferably six sigma black belt.
The role involves working rotational shifts - 0600-1400, 1400-2200 & 2200-0600
