Within our Burton’s group, we have 6 bakery sites across the UK, located in Blackpool, Livingston, Edinburgh, Dorset, Isle of Arran and Llantarnam, with our head office in St Albans.   In total we employ circa 2,100 people around across our locations.

What does your typical day look like?  

You will take ownership of the site electrical and control systems and to ensure that they are reliable and fit for purpose.  Continually driving improvement to ensure our site KPI's are achieved..


Other key actions will be but not limited to:

- To operate a maintenance management programme directed towards optimising plant availability .

- To control , monitor and review the maintenance , calibration , external service, repair of all production plant and equipment , within the maintenance schedules

- To train and develop personnel to achieve a multi skilled integrated team- working environment and where appropriate identify potential for more senior roles.

- Provide technical leadership

- To organise and manage the engineering and contract resources to provide a quality service.


What are the key ingredients needed for the role? 

You will need previous experience in electronics and of leadiing a team on engineers, along with experience in PLC control systems


You will need to be confident with diagnostic fault finding  but also be able to work in a fast paced environment.

This role is working Monday to Friday - 8am- 5pm
