Within our Burton’s group, we have 6 bakery sites across the UK, located in Blackpool, Livingston, Edinburgh, Dorset, Isle of Arran and Llantarnam, with our head office in St Albans.   In total we employ circa 2,100 people around across our locations.

What does your typical day look like?  

You will be responsible for delivering an effective and proactive administrative  and factory support to the health and safety manager and key departments onsite .

 

Other key actions will be but not limited to:

  • Conduct regular site safety walk rounds 
  • Conduct regular audits
  • Manage availability of safety  PPE 
  • Responsibility of maintaining the SHE database and generation of statistics associated with the system.
  • Support close out of all H&S audits both internal and external
  • Attend and sometimes lead SHE meetings

       


 

What are the key ingredients needed for the role? 

You will need an understanding of health and safety practices and ideally have a Nebosh Certificate.

 

You will need to be confident with your communication and IT skills.


This role is a 12 month FTC initially  hours of work are 08.45 -17.30 but are flexible .  working monday to friday
