Burton's X Caris

What do you do at Burton's? 
Hi I'm Caris and I'm the material planner for Blackpool, which means I make sure we have all the correct materials/ingredients needed to make our wondeful biscuits!

What does your typical day look like? 
A typical day for me includes going through production plans, ordering in any materials or ingredients we may need to make production happen, and keeping on top of our bulk ingredients to ensure we don't run out! Problem solving is a big part of my job when things don't always go to plan but it is all part of the fun!

How long have you worked at Burton's? 
I've worked for Burton's for around 4 and half years, but I have only been in planning for about 3 months. Previously I worked in Customer Service, this is where the majority of my time at Burton's has been spent!

Why do you love working at Burton's?
We make the best biscuits!!!

What is your favourite part of your role?
I like being involved in the planning that goes into the making of our biscuits and I like the challenges of making it happen.

How has Burton's supported you and your development?
My managers have always supported me in my career path and given me the opportunities to try new things and develop.

What advice would you give to someone considering joining the family?
